Resort Villa Interior

A hillside resort specified Yangphen flexible stone as the mineral skin β€” rubble-look landscape walls, rammed-earth interiors, and wet-zone faces where stone was wanted and a masonry crew was not.

Hillside

Hillside β€” rubble-look flexible stone on the retaining and villa walls. A mineral face on a light build-up; the timber roofs are not the cladding.

Living rooms

Living room β€” cream mineral faces on the walls; rubble-look sheet lining the window jambs. Stone language without loading the timber frame.

Pool

Pool β€” rubble-look flexible stone on the walls that hold the water court. A mineral face on a hospitality programme that could not wait for masonry.

Suites

Suite β€” cream mineral faces on the walls; rubble-look sheet at the window return. The same family as the living room.

Bath

Bath β€” stacked-stone flexible stone as the wet-zone wall; cream mineral sheet on the soaking pool. A washable stone look on a light build-up.

What was specified

Yangphen flexible stone as a hillside mineral skin: rubble-look sheets on landscape walls, rammed-earth and cream interiors, and stacked-stone wet-zone faces. Timber ceilings and furniture are by others. Yangphen Stone supplied the sheet.

Why not slab stone?

Courtyard walls, window returns, and wet rooms wanted a stone face on a light structure. A rubble wall in real stone would have loaded the hillside frame and slowed a hospitality programme that could not wait on a masonry crew.

What to request
